These upcoming projects will redefine the Dubai's skyline

Dubai has seen a myriad of mega-construction projects. The Emirate just keeps on breaking records and never fails to impress with its exciting new projects on the way and under construction. From Dubai’s upcoming tallest tower to world's tallest residential tower, these are the top 6 buzzworthy projects that everyone is looking forward to seeing:

Burj Jumeira

This may be one of the most exciting projects yet. Topping out in 2023, Burj Jumeira will pierce the sky at 1,804 ft. Home to brand new mega district, Downtown Jumeira is aimed at creating a vibrant community for all residents.

Set to host various events and activities, including feature water fountains, terraced outdoor amphitheater and much more, the 550-meter oval-shaped tower will have a design inspired by the harmonious ripples of the UAE’s desert sand dunes and its flowing oases. In addition to other great features, there will also be an outline of Sheikh Mohammed’s fingerprint at the base of the tower.

Dubai Lighthouse

Adding to its list of achievements, Dubai will have its own lighthouse. The waterfront destination, Meraas’s Dubai Harbour will feature not only 1,400 berths, a cruise ship port, dining, hospitality and residential options but also a Dubai Lighthouse. The 135-metre-high building will house a luxury hotel and an observation deck and will have a façade that will be used as a gigantic screen for high resolution projections and light shows. The Dubai Lighthouse is about half the height of the Address Downtown Dubai and is all set to be completed in 2021.

Dubai Steps

This project will be for visitors, tourists and athletes alike. One of Dubai's new iconic landmarks, Dubai Steps, is underway and is expected to be 100m high, which is about 245-storey high, according to Dubai Municipality. Once the stunning project is completed, there will be 500 steps to climb on the tower.

Palm360

Palm360, the two-tower development, is set to become the tallest building on Palm Jumeirah. It will comprise of a luxury hotel, branded residences and the world’s largest sky pool, while offering spectacular views of the The Palm, the Arabian Gulf coastline and Dubai skyline at almost 260m high. It will house a 125-key Raffles hotel and 359 branded residences and there will be direct access to the beach, as well as a new beach club.

Dubai Creek Tower

Emar’s $1 billion tower will pierce the sky at 3,045 ft. when it’s done in 2020. It will be Dubai’s tallest tower, beating Burj Khalifa’s record. Located on the new Dubai Creek Harbour district, the Dubai Creek Tower will mostly feature multiple cutting-edge observation decks with 360° views of Dubai Creek Harbour and the city's skyline. Tourists and residents will have easy access from Dubai Square to Dubai Creek Tower. Additionally, the tower is only a short walk from Creek Beach, making it the perfect destination for all.

The Dubai One

Situated within the heart of Mohammed Bin Rashid City,  Meydan Group’s Dubai One will be the tallest residential tower in the world, with a staggering height of 711m. It is part of the Meydan One project, a 3.67 million sq. m. mixed-use development.

With more than 78,300 people expected to reside within the project, the upcoming residential tower will have 885 residential apartments, an integrated podium spreading over 350,000 sq. m. of gross floor area, a 5-star hotel with 350 hotel keys as well as a conference centre, a 655m high observation deck, a 675m high restaurant.
