For the fifth consecutive year, the UAE has been ranked first in the Arab region in the World Happiness Report.
The 2019 World Happiness Report, a global ranking released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations, has recently been released and showed UAE taking the 21st spot in terms of happiness between 2016 and 2018.
From 156 countries evaluated by their happiness levels, it also showed that the United Arab Emirates is the only country in the Middle East to be in the top category five times in a row.
This comes no surprise as the country was recently declared the safest country in the world as 96.1% of people feel safe to walk outside at night, according to an announcement made by officials this week.
The overall happiness score has been improving every year. In the 2016 World Happiness Report, the UAE ranked 28th and has since advanced 7 places to 21st worldwide.
The UAE is always committed to implementing happiness and wellbeing and the report furthermore shows that living in the UAE is a sign of its positive impact on the lives of residents.
