Dubai will soon be getting a stunning 380 metre long and 60 feet high Sky Garden footbridge spanning over an area of 3,422 sq. m.
Aimed at becoming a tourist attraction once its opened, the new footbridge boasting an iconic stylish design is set to connect Dubai’s major attractions along the shores of Dubai Creek for residents and visitors. It will have a lot of green areas along with multilevel lanes for running and cycling, and set to feature new commercial outlets shaded areas for outdoor activities.
Sky Garden will allow everyone to be able to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the old and new Dubai.
The Sky Garden project is one of several of a package of projects, which is aimed at enhancing the happiness of residents ,being developed by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and of which has been approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Some of the happiness and leisure projects include bicycle lanes and promenades at Umm Suqeim, Jumeirah Beach and Sheikh Zayed Road, which is located between Dubai World Trade Centre and Financial Centre Metro Stations.
His Highness also endorsed road and public transport projects as well as a five-year plan (2019-2023) for constructing internal roads in residential districts. Details for the a new beachfront development connected to Jumeirah Beach Walk, Sunset promenade project, the Sheikh Zayed Road promenade, roads leading to the International City and more have been reviewed.
