By Dubai-based developer Meydan, the much-anticipated Meydan One mall is set to open its doors in the second half of 2020, right before the opening of the country’s first EXPO.
It spans almost 1.5 million square metres and will host a variety of dining and entertainment options and facilities, with a total of 580 retail outlets expected. The mall is part of the Meydan One development, which is strategically positioned within the heart of Mohammed Bin Rashid City and envisioned as “A Place for Everyone” for accommodating varied needs and expectations.
The mega mall will be home to a 4000-square-metre electric go-karting track and Crystal Lagoon water park with 500 metres of beaches. Other key features will include 1km ski-slope (longest indoor ski slope), 380-metre long dancing fountain that will fire water 380m in the air as well as a civic plaza that is able to host 30,000 people.
In partnership with E-Karting, it is the region’s first indoor electric go-karting track. Located on the Entertainment Floor of Meydan One, it will excite residents and visitors once it’s launched as it will be an environmentally friendly, exhilarating karting experience.
The e-karting track - to be located on the Entertainment Floor of Meydan One - will use karts powered entirely by electricity, a first in the city. It is also the most advanced and eco-friendly karting experience around. The engines will provide riders with high-powered karting experience free of noise pollution and exhaust fumes.
Within the development, it will also include the world's tallest residential tower, Dubai One, standing at a height of 711 metres.
Designed to become an urban, vibrant and mixed-use district, the Meydan One development is currently under construction. The handover date is in Q4 next year.
