Azizi Developments has officially commenced the construction of a new high-rise tower situated along Dubai's iconic Sheikh Zayed Road. The mega-tall tower, known as Burj Azizi, is projected to be the second tallest in the world, pending approval from authorities.
The developer refrained from disclosing the exact height of Burj Azizi, citing the ongoing approval process. However, Azizi did confirm that upon completion, it is poised to become the second tallest building in Dubai. The project, valued at $1.5 billion (AED3.67 billion), is anticipated to be finalized by 2028.
Burj Azizi's features are set to include luxury apartments, penthouses, a multi-level mall, a seven-star hotel, high-end dining establishments, and an observation deck. Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, expressed that this tower is envisioned as their legacy and a gesture of gratitude to Dubai and its people.
To claim the title of the world's second tallest tower, Burj Azizi must surpass the height of 679 meters, currently held by Malaysia's Merdeka 118. In the Dubai context, it needs to exceed 450 meters, surpassing the height of the Franck Muller Aeternitas tower under construction in Dubai Marina.
Azizi Developments had initially proposed the 570-meter skyscraper with 122 storeys in March 2018. The announcement follows the developer's commitment to a multibillion-dollar investment plan revealed at Cityscape 2022.
Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments, described the tower as a "master community in one tower." The company has ambitious plans, including a substantial investment in luxury hotels and resorts, with a current construction pipeline of around 40,000 units slated for delivery by 2027.
As the construction of Burj Azizi progresses, it adds to Azizi Developments' extensive portfolio, including the recent launch of the Dh30 billion ($8.16 billion) mixed-use development, Azizi Venice, consisting of over 30,000 homes in various configurations.
The completion of Burj Azizi is eagerly anticipated, adding another architectural marvel to Dubai's ever-evolving skyline.
