Dubai’s Real Estate Transactions Reach AED 77 Billion in Q1 of 2017

 

The Dubai Land Department(DLD) published the total value of real estate sales during the first quarter of 2017.  His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department confirmed that the value of real estate transactions reached AED 77 billion from 20,000 real estate deals. The DLD's data analysis states there is a 45% increase in the value of transactions compared to the first quarter of 2016. Bin Mejren added that the total value of real estate investments reached more than AED 40 billion through 15501 investment sales.The increase in transaction value in the first quarter of 2017 indicates Dubai's property sector is enduring an upswing in growth.

This information was revealed during the DLD hosted press conference as part of the ‘Ask the Leader’ initiative organised by the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2017. This event received a high influx of attendees interested in Dubai's real estate sector as well as media representatives. Attendees at the press conference witnessed the launch of the ‘Know Your Rights as a Real Estate Investor in Dubai’ to spread a safe real estate culture.
