    The off-plan property sales volume in Dubai went down in 2020 by -19.7% vs. 2019. The total sales value reached over AED 20B for almost 15,000 transactions. The off-plan apartments share was AED 16B for over 12,000 transactions making a decrease by -17.6% vs. 2019.

    The hottest areas for off-plan apartments in 2020 were:

    1 MBR City 1,691 (+8.6% vs. 2019)
    2 Jumeirah Village Circle 1,464 (+169.6% vs. 2019)
    3 Dubai Marina 1,246 (+11.1% vs. 2019)
    4 Business Bay 1,155 (-22% vs. 2019)
    5 Dubai Creek Harbour 938 (-59.9% vs. 2019)

    The off-plan property market depends mainly on international investors; so, we expect sales to increase as flights come back to normal. In the coming blog, we will look at the top-performing areas for off-plan villas in Dubai in 2020.
