With January just around the corner, it’s that time to make some new year resolutions. Real estate agents are always busy and it is easy for goals to slide and disappear. By keeping resolutions simple and attainable, it’s more likely that not only will goals will be reached but also you’ll eventually find yourself getting leads and selling more homes along the way. These are the top five new year's resolutions for real estate agents in Dubai.

1. Post consistently on social media

Social media serves a great purpose for real estate agents. It’s important to have consistent presence on social media as it comes with many advantages like lead generation, sales, engagement with potential clients, and increased brand awareness.
Don’t spend a huge bulk of your time on social media. It’s time to overcome your social media marketing anxiety so post at least every day or every second day.

Set yourself apart from others by personalizing your posts and pay attention to comments so that they know you value followers. Promote new listings like off plan projects in Dubai and share the latest news and more.

2. Set goals

Write your goals down on a piece of paper and set a deadline. This is an effective way to getting results, achieving goals and being more proactive, which can lead to a roadmap of success. Always check up on your goals every couple of days and write down your new ideas that will help you move towards your goals.

Whether it’s aiming for a specific number of leads per week or attending seminars, check in on yourself at the end of every month. To structure and track your goals and objectives, make your goal S.M.A.R.T: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic/Relevant and Timely.

3. Educate yourself

Essential part of succeeding as a real estate agent is continued education. Read the latest real estate news and reports, attend seminars, conferences, and training courses, and much more, that can help you boost you career and productivity.

Real estate agents probably clock in some of the highest number of hours on the phone, so it’s important to withdraw from any device every now and then.

To boost your productivity, try to stop multitasking and follow the 20-20-20 rule. While staring at a computer or phone can dry eyes and even cause pain and tiredness, every 20 minutes, spend 20 seconds looking 20 feet away from the computer. Give your eyes some rest and this exercise will help it readjust to natural light and allows you stay efficient and productive.
