What is the importance of attracting new institutionalized Real Estate Investment Funds (REITs) to Dubai?


Dubai government have issued new regulation to motivate more RIETs to invest in the Dubai Property Market

  • • RIETs transact at scale which contributes to moving the overall wheel of economy in Dubai. RIETs transact in the sum of hundreds of millions. 
  • • RIETs do not speculate; they buy to rent and they focus on medium to long term investments which contributes to the stability of the market and helps balance the equation of supply and demand in Dubai RE. 
  • • RIETs facilitate affordable investment tickets for local and foreign investors. They also motivate local investors and  landlords with extensive real estate portfolios to continue to invest. 

Timing is always key: A large majority of foreign institutional investors from the EU are considering to diversify their portfolios and to move to Dubai. 

In light of current instability in the global financial system, real estate as an asset class is gaining increased attention from individual and institutional investors as they consider it less risky than many other investment avenues. In the last three months, we have been approached by two globally renowned investment institutions who are looking to invest for the first time in the Dubai real estate market.
